I woke up this morning with one memory of last night
The vision of a bottle, before I went to sleep
When I was naive it was always amusing
But now what I want has turned into what I need
The taste now steins my already tainted blood like the ink
I paid to stein my skin
I left my heart in a castle where I swapped it for a crown and a sceptre
So I could be king
But the king of nothing is just a peasant
Who just wears arrogance better than everybody else
With a castle of blood and sweat and bricks made of the cards
That I was so easily dealt
When you're alone it's too easy to drink yourself sober
Without knowing what's in your cup
You say you've seen it all before but it's kinda hard to help
When your eyes are so fucking wide shut
The king of nothing and the king of it all
Are both the same just before they fall

Once upon a time we were the drunken knights
Off on another mission to get ourselves pissed
But it seems it's taken it's toll now we gave into that
Sweet nectar's kiss
Too many nights I've watched my best mate's eyes
Roll into the back of his head

motherfucker that's where I'll tread'
So I guess it's time to set off on another voyage to see if I can find some new ground
I've done it a few different times before, it seems it's always the same land I've found
So if this is where I should be, I guess I shouldn't want to change it for anything in the world
If I die young, I'll die happy, knowing I always kept myself

He is the envy of the drunken fool
The fool is crushed by the weight of it all
The king just laughs as his castle falls
